Designing motion with restraint
Motion should clarify hierarchy — not decorate every edge. A short guide to premium animation.

Good motion is almost invisible.
It guides attention, confirms action, and softens spatial change. It should never compete with content.
Our rules of thumb:
- Prefer opacity and transform over layout thrash - Respect `prefers-reduced-motion` - Keep spring physics subtle - Animate once per intent, not on every hover - Use stagger for rhythm, not noise
When motion is earned, the product feels alive. When it is constant, it feels anxious.
